Located 10km from the campsite, Granville, a small coastal town steeped in history is perfect for strolling during your stay. You can discover the Upper Town surrounded by its ramparts, the museum and the Christian Dior garden, childhood home of the famous designer, the casino and its promenade of « plat gousset » or the lighthouse of the Pointe du Roc offering a breathtaking view of the bay of Granville. The shops, bars and restaurants will welcome you warmly.
You can also discover the town of Coutances located 20km from our campsite. Labeled as a city of art and history, Coutances will seduce you with its multiple religious buildings, its Plants Garden or even its castle of Gratot (4km from Coutances).
A town with an important historic heritage and only 30km from the dunes, Avranches will dazzle you with its buildings dating back for the 12th century. The Plants Garden is maintained to offer you a pleasant walk in flowery spaces and will make you enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. It is also in Normandy that you can discover the beauty we localy call the 8th wonder of the world: the Mont-Saint-Michel.
In the cotentin, you can discover the town of Cherbourg (100km), port city with many resources. Discover its architecture, its 5 ports or the museum « La cité de la mer » which will allow you to access the greatest secrets of the seabed.
Chausey : Exceptional archipelago, composed by 365 islets, Chausey Island will carry you away. An hour boat from Granville, you will discover the island called «the fishing paradise». You will discover large white sandy beaches, abundant nature and some dolphins (if they are out). On sunny days, you can even see Chausey from Les dunes.
The Channel Islands: A true mini England, the Channel Islands will make you discover English culture just a few hours from the campsite. Pubs, fish and chips and English shops will make you have a small taste of England.
